Veterinary Assistant

Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, such as blood draws, urine collection, and sample preparation.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist with animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, treatments, and procedures.
- Clean and maintain examination rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites.
- Provide support to veterinary staff during surgeries and other medical procedures.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals as needed.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
