Skills and Qualifications:

• Passion for animals and a desire to work in the veterinary field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
• Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Experience with animal care and handling preferred
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Willing to have a flexible work schedule and the ability to work weekends would be considered an asset.
• The completion of a Veterinary Assistant or Animal Care Attendant, and program, and 1 year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred. However, we would be willing to train the right candidate.

Job responsibilities:

• Assist our team of experienced veterinarians in providing top-notch care to our furry clientele
• Handle and comfort pets during exams and procedures
• Prepping treatment rooms, exam rooms for appointments and procedures
• Maintain a clean and welcoming clinic environment
• Client communication, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records
• Monitor hospitalized patients
• Prepare vaccinations and fill prescriptions
• Place supply orders and update inventory
• And most importantly, bring your boundless energy, infectious enthusiasm, and love for all things fluffy to every interaction!

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
