Midtown Mobile Veterinary Hospice Services (MMVHS), a Lap of Love Practice based in Toronto, Canada, is dedicated to providing compassionate in-home end-of-life care for pets throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. We believe all pets and their families deserve unparalleled support, empathy, and guidance during this important stage of life. Our experienced veterinarians and care team help pets and their parents with quality-of-life assessments, pain and anxiety management, end-of-life consultations, and peaceful euthanasia in the comfort of their pet’s favourite place - home. We are also proud to offer eco-friendly aftercare options for families through our sister company, Faithful Pet Memorial (FPM), the first aquamation (water-based cremation) service for pets in the City of Toronto.
We are seeking an empathetic, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our dynamic team as a Veterinary Clinic Relations Specialist. Our Veterinary Clinic Relations Specialists serve as ambassadors within the veterinary community, helping clinics support their pet families with end-of-life care decisions and offering an in-home option when it’s preferred. They engage with veterinary professionals by visiting clinics, attending conferences, and represent us at special events.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Travel to veterinary clinics primarily in Toronto and the GTA. Occasional travel to other Canadian cities and the U.S. may be needed.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships by providing education on end-of-life care services and the benefits of recommending MMVHS and FPM to their pet families.
- Share new ideas, trends, and best practices to strengthen relationships and ensure our services remain top-of-mind within the veterinary community.
- Attend veterinary conferences and events to promote our services to veterinary professionals at our booths, speaking engagements, and special events.
- Document and track outcomes from all visits, events, and meetings in our CRM to measure the effectiveness and impact of outreach efforts.
- Deliver engaging “lunch and learn” educational presentations for veterinary clinic teams to help them improve the in-clinic euthanasia experience for pet families.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- At least 2 years of sales or outreach experience, preferably within the veterinary industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to the needs of different audiences.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with existing connections in the veterinary industry and the ability to build new relationships.
- Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Sheets), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and the ability to learn proprietary Lap of Love software.
- Confident, independent thinker with a proactive, self-starter mindset.
- This is a remote role requiring the ability to work independently. Hours may vary, and some evening and weekend availability may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Physical and Other Job Requirements:
- Able to communicate frequently by telephone and through computer-based technologies, including but not limited to email, text messaging, and video conferencing.
- Demonstrates average or above-average working knowledge of the internet and commonly used scheduling and communication applications such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and web-based communication platforms.
- Has access to reliable and secure internet.
- Able to sit for prolonged periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality of all patient, client, and business information.
- Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Requires use of a personal, clean, and well-maintained vehicle; mileage will be reimbursed based on the Canada Revenue Agency mileage guidelines.
- Must possess a valid passport and driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Mileage reimbursement
- Paid time off
Work Location: On the road
