Veterinary Receptionist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and have a strong ability to communicate effectively with both clients and staff.

Duties

• Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for the veterinary team.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
• Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
• Assist in managing inventory of supplies, ensuring that the clinic is well-stocked.
• Provide basic information on animal care, including grooming, husbandry, and critical care needs.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Experience or knowledge in areas such as veterinary care, animal care, , Dog and cat handling and laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for appointment scheduling and record keeping.
• Strong organizational skills to manage various administrative tasks efficiently.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
