We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Veterinary Scribe to join our team and support our veterinary professionals by ensuring accurate medical documentation and efficient workflow.

Position Overview:
The Veterinary Scribe is responsible for accurately documenting patient visits and assisting the veterinary team in maintaining comprehensive medical records. This role allows veterinarians to focus on delivering the best possible care by handling administrative tasks related to patient history, exam findings, and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately document patient medical histories, physical exam findings, and treatments during veterinary appointments.
• Enter information into our electronic medical records system (Vetspire) in real time.
• Assist veterinarians with organizing and updating medical records, lab results, and client communications.
• Ensure all medical documentation complies with hospital policies and legal requirements.
• Help coordinate communication between veterinarians, clients, and support staff as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client and patient records.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience or interest in the veterinary/medical field is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs), especially Vetspire, is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in related fields is a bonus).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Experience:

• Typing: 1 year (Preferred)
