What You’ll Do

• Edit long-form documentaries in Premiere Pro: assembly, rough/fine cuts, picture lock.
• Craft narrative arcs: openings, act breaks, pacing, emotional beats, and payoffs.
• Build sequences from interviews, b-roll, screen recordings, stock & archival (with clear labeling).
• Sound: dialogue cleanup, noise reduction, basic mixing, music placement, stems; deliver to web loudness targets.
• Color: primary/secondary correction and look creation with Lumetri; manage LUTs.
• Graphics: lower thirds, simple maps/timelines, end slates; basic AE knowledge is a plus.
• Versioning & cutdowns: trailers/teasers, shorts, and social edits from the master timeline.
• Media management: proxies, project templates, naming conventions, backups, and hand-off packages.
• Fact-check onscreen text, verify captions, and ensure rights-cleared assets are tracked.
• Hit deadlines, communicate blockers early, and respond to structured feedback rounds.

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

• Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro (2022 or newer) with proven long-form work.
• Solid documentary storytelling sense (beats, pacing, clarity, suspense).
• Audio basics: EQ, compression, noise reduction, and clean music/dialogue balance.
• Color fundamentals in Lumetri (scopes, matching cameras, skin tones).
• Captioning/Subtitles (SRT, burned-in) & export presets for YouTube.
• Strong organization: bins, markers, nested sequences, version control.
• Reliable hardware + fast internet for large media transfers.

Nice-to-Have

• After Effects (titles, simple motion graphics), Photoshop for assets.
• Multicam syncing, interview punch-ins, and smoothing jump cuts tastefully.
• Hindi and English fluency.
