Progressive Music Studio is an award-winning music school located in Cayuga ON. We focus on providing quality musical education in a fun and comfortable environment, and strive to maintain a policy that is fair for both families and teachers.

Progressive Music Studio is now hiring a friendly, fun, energetic, and self-motivated Vocal Teacher, who is working towards or has received a diploma/degree in music or Level 8 RCM. We are seeking candidates who work well with students of all ages and abilities, are comfortable teaching at beginner to advanced levels, and are willing to teach both online and in-person.

Responsibilities:

• Create one-on-one lessons that suit the individual learning styles of each student
• Provide lessons in a fun and engaging manner
• Communicating and providing proper musical technique
• Able to teach various styles of music.
• Communicate with parents and/or guardians on the progress of each student
• Preparing students for festivals, theatre auditions, recitals, post-secondary auditions
• Attending and helping at student recitals held in December and June
• Willing to collaborate with other teachers

Qualifications:

• Currently attending/have completed post-secondary education in music, or completed Level 8 RCM
• Proficient at reading music
• Strong skills in theory
• Proficiency in guitar or piano is an asset, but not required
