About the Role
The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator supports the planning and delivery of volunteer engagement activities across preparedness, recovery and training for the DRRT. This is a paid, part-time role for 10 hours per week until 30/06/26.
Working closely with the DRRT Associate Director, Operations and Logistics Coordinators, and Marketing Communications, you’ll help ensure volunteer engagement activities are well planned, coordinated and aligned with DRRT operational needs. This includes coordinating engagement opportunities, tracking and recording volunteer engagement activity, managing volunteer muster data and qualification approvals, and maintaining accurate records through DRA systems.
You’ll support routine volunteer communications such as welcome emails, newsletters, social media posts and calendars, assist with regional engagement activities, provide regular updates to the DRRT Associate Director, and assist with supporting and coordinating volunteer Engagement Associates. This is a Hybrid role with occasional attendance at DRRT Qld Sth Office in Hendra.

Skills and Experiences:
About You
You bring an understanding of volunteer engagement, coordination or community-focused activities, and ideally an understanding of disaster recovery, emergency management or community operations. You’re practical, reliable, and comfortable working with data systems, documentation and communication tools.
You’re flexible, solutions-focused and team-oriented, and motivated by contributing to meaningful outcomes for volunteers and communities. You’re comfortable adapting to changing priorities and supporting operations in dynamic environments.
