Job Description – Vice President of Finance (VP of Finance)
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Finance (VP of Finance) is a senior leader responsible for the financial health of the organization. This role provides strategic direction, oversees day-to-day financial operations, and ensures compliance with regulatory and reporting standards. As a trusted advisor to the President, Ownership and Executive Team, the VP of Finance plays a critical role in guiding growth, managing risk, and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve company objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Partner with the executive team to define and execute long-term financial strategy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and business growth.
- Translate company goals into financial plans, budgets, and performance targets.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.
- Deliver clear and actionable reporting on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop KPIs to monitor company health and operational efficiency.
Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
- Oversee internal controls, policies, and processes to safeguard company assets.
- Manage audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Treasury & Capital Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Oversee banking relationships and capital allocation strategies.
- Support fundraising, investor relations, and capital markets activity as needed.
Risk & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and financial regulations.
- Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to strengthen governance frameworks.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Build scalable financial systems and processes to support growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as VP of Finance, Finance Director, or senior finance leader.
- Strong knowledge of financial law, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
- Experience in financial planning, risk management, and capital management.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $125,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
