Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all customers receive top-notch hospitality. Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain food safety standards will contribute significantly to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, communicating any special requests to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets the restaurant's standards.
• Upsell menu items by suggesting additional dishes or drinks to enhance the dining experience.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen area.
• Adhere to food safety regulations, ensuring that all health and hygiene standards are met at all times.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service for all guests.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately, using basic maths skills for transactions.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations throughout service.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
• Strong culinary knowledge with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• A keen eye for detail in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the dining area and kitchen.
• A passion for providing outstanding customer service with a friendly demeanour.
• Basic maths skills for handling payments and processing orders accurately.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
