Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tile installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your expertise in using both hand tools and power tools will be essential in achieving precise measurements and finishes.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, smoothing, and applying necessary adhesives.
• Read and interpret schematics to determine layout and design specifications for tile projects.
• Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit around corners, edges, and fixtures.
• Install tiles in accordance with design plans, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Apply grout and sealants as required to finish installations effectively.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and painters, to ensure seamless project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the installation process.
• Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to tile installation.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy materials or standing for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
• A background in carpentry is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £21.88-£23.82 per hour
