Waitakere hospital is experiencing some growth and that includes the opening of additional beds and a new ward.

We are seeking an experienced administration professional to join our team for Huia Ward based in Waitakere Hospital.

This position involves a high level of customer contact in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for daily amubalance booking, patients admission/discharge, maintenance of patient's files, quality improvement on the ward, arranging and monitoring patient movements, communication and liaison with hospital staff, patients and their family/ whanau.

You will have:

• Excellent proven organisational and communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Flexible attitude and the ability to multi-task and prioritise within a fast paced environment is essential
• Provide administrative, and reception support for the ward.
• Good computer literacy is required
• Previous experience in a health care setting and knowledge of iPMS is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.
• Strong command of the English language both verbal and written
• Keeping the Reception area tidy
• Able to work within a multidisciplinary team and under pressure to meet deadlines
