We are a refrigeration and catering equipment rental company seeking an experienced Commercial Equipment Cleaner who will be responsible for the deep cleaning, decontamination, and technical cleaning of commercial refrigeration and industrial catering equipment,. This role ensures all equipment is returned to a sanitized, fully functional, and presentable state for re-hire or usage, while maintaining high hygiene standards within the warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance

• Deep Cleaning: Clean commercial equipment (e.g., catering, hospitality, refrigeration units) using equipment provided including high pressure hoses and compressors
• Decontamination: Follow strict sanitization protocols to disinfect equipment to food-grade or high-industry standards.
• Testing/Inspection: Perform basic functional checks, rinsing, flushing, and testing of equipment to ensure it is working properly before being returned to stock.
• Component Care: Clean specialized internal components of machinery to remove buildup, ensuring operational efficiency.

2. Warehouse Sanitation & Safety

• Floor Maintenance: Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness.
• Waste Handling: Manage waste disposal, including operating cardboard balers, emptying bins, and handling hazardous materials safely if required.
• Facility Cleaning: Clean racking, loading docks, walls, and high-touch areas (door handles, handrails)

3. Safety & Compliance

• Health & Safety: Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Chemical Handling: Safely handle and mix cleaning chemicals, following COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) standards.
• Reporting: Log daily activities, report maintenance issues or damaged equipment to the warehouse manager immediately.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience as an industrial cleaner, warehouse operative, or commercial equipment cleaner is highly preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual work, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Safety Focus: Strong awareness of health and safety standards.
• Reliability: Trustworthy, punctual, and able to work on own initiative.
• Technical Skills: Ability to work with industrial machinery (e.g., pressure washers) and use a smartphone for task reporting.
• Working Conditions
• Warehouse/Industrial setting.
• May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and wet conditions.
• Flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, may be required.

Pay: €14.15-€15.75 per hour
