Join Oliver M. Dean, Inc., a trusted leader in hygienic process equipment solutions. We’re seeking a Warehouse & Facilities Maintenance Associate to ensure smooth warehouse operations and maintain a safe, efficient workplace.

Oliver M. Dean, Inc. distributes designs, installs and services hygienic process equipment for the food, beverage, dairy, brewing, personal care, and life science industries throughout the Northeast and northern Atlantic states

We have an immediate permanent full-time position opening for a Warehouse & Facilities Maintenance Associate. This position is based in our Worcester, MA corporate office.

Purpose:

Ensure safe, efficient warehouse operations, maintain a functional and compliant facility, and support pump and valve assembly, evaluation, and repair.

Responsibilities:

The Warehouse & Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for all physical activities at our Worcester warehouse/office location and the continuous improvement of all related processes and systems. This consists of three distinct primary functions:

Warehouse Operations

· Shipping and receiving (common carrier and LTL)

· Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation

· Boxing and crating

· Inventory stocking and picking

· Processing of returned material

· Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization

· Occasional travel for (<10%) local pickup and delivery

Facility Maintenance

· Manage, coordinate and schedule building and property maintenance vendors

· Perform routine minor building and grounds maintenance (bulbs, filters, batteries, traps, trash, etc.)

· Perform routine safety inspections. Maintain and enforce safe work practices.

Sanitary Pump and Valve Service

· New pump assembly

· Evaluation of customer pumps and valves

· Repair of customer pumps and valves (occasional, <10%, travel to customer sites)

· Completion of evaluation and test reports.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

· 5 + years’ experience in shipping, receiving, & warehouse operations

· Experienced with shipping UPS, FedEx and LTL.

· Experienced with and OSHA certified for Class IV forklift operation

· Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with commercial/industrial equipment

· Computer skills, including Windows, MS Office, MS Teams, ERP (MS Business Central)

· Customer service and problem-solving skills

· Self-motivated learner able to handle multiple priorities

· Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

· Able to work both independently and as a team player

· Well-organized with attention to detail and follow-up

· Applicants must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license and an acceptable safe driving record (MVR) as a condition of employment

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. unassisted
