Position Summary:
Under the direction of Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor will be responsible for Responsible for all operational aspects of the shift (floor and office), including labour planning/balancing, directing, counseling and instructing, discipline.
The Operations Supervisor will also be responsible for the overall safety program as it relates to his/her shift, including hazard identification and correction, inspections, accident investigations, orientation and training, working with JHSC.
Must be a self-starter with an ownership mindset, strong safety culture, a focus on process efficiency, continuous improvement and customer service. Under the guidance of the Site Director, this role is accountable to oversee all operations pertaining to the Yard at the Milton Campus.
Accountabilities:(The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations):
- Safety of all personnel in warehouse, observe and correct unsafe practices.
- Ensure implementation, education and application of all applicable SOP’s
- Directs Coordinators on inbound and outbound volume scheduling, labour deployment, order fulfillment, loading and shipping to ensure key performance indicators are met.
- Other responsibilities include notification to Client Customer Service of non-compliance by carriers or customers.
- Provides team leadership and guidance to direct reports. Fosters good employee relations.
- Provides information to Operations Manager re: equipment repairs and facility maintenance.
- Contacts authorized contractors to schedule repairs and maintenance in concert with Manager.
- Determines work flow priority, how work is to be assigned to the floor, based on equipment availability, space utilization (case vs. rack vs. bulk), etc.
- Monitors operator productivity on an ongoing basis.
- Ensures that volume Schedule is up to date.
- Modifies orders based on client needs.
- Interacts with Client Customer Service based on enquiries, e.g. order flow status.
- Train employees.
- Must have 3 years of Supervisory Experience in Warehouse Environment
- Other duties as may be assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Georgetown, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- warehouse: 3 years (preferred)
