Job Description
Goods-In / Warehouse Operative
Location: Factory
Reports to: Factory / Operations Manager
Role Overview
The Goods-In / Warehouse Operative plays a critical role in ensuring materials, components, and finished goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Attention to detail and reliability are essential — mistakes here cost time and money.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and sign in all incoming goods against delivery dockets
- Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly
- Accurately book stock in and out of the system
- Maintain organised storage of materials and finished goods
- Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stock takes
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
- Load and unload deliveries safely
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures at all times
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or goods-in role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good numeracy and basic IT skills
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Mandatory Certifications
- Manual Handling Certificate (required)
- Safe Pass (required)
Desirable
- Forklift experience or licence (advantage but not essential)
Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €16.75 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (required)
Work authorisation:
- Ireland (required)
