Job Summary

BD Trading is seeking a reliable and hardworking Picker & Palletiser to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, building stable pallets, preparing goods for dispatch, and maintaining a safe and organised warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Similar warehouse roles in Ireland typically involve order picking, pallet building, loading/unloading, stock handling, and maintaining warehouse accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately using pick lists or handheld scanners.
• Build and wrap pallets securely for transport.
• Pack products safely to prevent damage during delivery.
• Label pallets and orders correctly.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Check products for damage or shortages before dispatch.
• Assist with goods received and stock replenishment.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation procedures.
• Comply with all Health & Safety, food hygiene, and company policies.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse colleagues to meet daily targets.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred.
• Experience in food or FMCG warehouse operations is an advantage.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Manual Handling Certificate is desirable (training can be provided).
• PPT (Power Pallet Truck) or Forklift licence is an advantage but not essential.

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with ambient, chilled, and frozen products.
