- Coordinate daily cutting, packaging, and shipping operations to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Enforce all health and safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and lead incident investigations.
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, organization of material on the warehouse floor, ensuring all aisles are clear, and coordination with the sales team.
- Oversee the safe operation of industrial saws and counterbalance forklifts.
- Conduct performance reviews, deliver coaching, and manage progressive discipline when necessary.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to prioritize orders and resolve material discrepancies.
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs and coordinate service calls for saws and forklifts.
- Ensure all skid packaging and material handling meets customer specifications and shipping standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial setting.
- Valid and up-to-date Counterbalance Forklift Operator License (mandatory).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a hands-on environment.
- Experience operating industrial saws, cutting equipment, or similar heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations (OHSA).
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and work on feet for extended periods.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (required).
- Proficiency with inventory management systems or warehouse management software is an asset.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the steel, metals, or building materials industry.
- First Aid / CPR certification.
