About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our commercial operations in Brisbane Markets, Rocklea. In this role, you will be responsible to perform variety of quality checks of our fresh produce farm equipment and machinery.

This role reports directly to the Distribution Centre / Warehouse Manager. The hours of work is Monday to Friday, 01:00AM to 09:00AM.

Skills and Experiences:
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and actively participate in the daily operations of the warehouse including pick, pack and dispatch of stock
• Accurately check and receive incoming goods
• Lead, train and mentor the warehouse team
• Ensure effective management of freight contractors and couriers ensuring an effective delivery/receiving system
• Proactively manage the WHS standards and workplace policies applicable to the warehouse
• Oversee warehouse maintenance schedule including equipment
• A thorough understanding and implementation of warehouse management system to help optimise performance
• Manage inventory control including regular cycle counts, stock rotations, assist with stocktakes, and maintain accurate records in collaboration with the Procurement Manager
• Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the Sales Manager, Category Manager, General Manager and administrational team members across the business.

Maintain daily incoming and outgoing records and cross refencing stock levels

Essential requirements

Current Forklift Licence
Expertise and experience in warehouse management procedures and best practice
Strong organisational and leadership skills fostering a positive work environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good level of computer and software skills plus ability to learn new programs
Excellent problem-solving ability
Attention to detail supported by strong data and numerical skills
Current forklift and driver’s licence
Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative
Ability to comply with and support workplace health and safety requirements
Knowledge of and experience in the fresh produce industry.
Team player / works well within a diverse team.

Desirable skills

Truck licence is desirable
