As an Equipment Warehouse Tool Technician, you will be responsible for keeping our tools and light equipment in top condition, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and ready to support our projects.
What you’ll do:
Perform routine maintenance checks, minor repairs, and servicing on a wide range of small hand tools and light equipment
Pick and fulfill orders from Tool Request Forms, walk-in, and phone-in requests
Load, unload, and organize tools and equipment, distributing them to the appropriate warehouse locations
Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and safety
Maintain general housekeeping of the warehouse, storage yard, and external shop areas
Coordinate repairs with external vendors as required
Carry out minor tool repairs within the warehouse as needed
Qualifications
What you bring:
Minimum 2 years of experience in tool/shop work or the construction industry
Experience in tool rental is an asset
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract (required)
Experience operating larger vehicles and securing loads is an asset
Solid knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools
Familiarity with workplace safety practices, including safe lifting and handling procedures
First Aid and CPR training is an asset
Ability to safely operate trucks and equipment as required
Comfortable working at heights (climbing ladders up to 20 ft.)
Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs, carrying loads up to 50 ft, and performing strenuous labour in varying field conditions
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects using proper body mechanics, and perform physical tasks such as jumping, sprinting, and throwing when required
