Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our electrical company. This role involves handling various warehouse operations, including inventory management, equipment operation, and local material delivery to job sites. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and possess skills in heavy equipment operation, inventory control, and materials handling. A strong understanding of safety protocols and warehouse management systems is essential to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Duties
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems and RF scanners to track stock levels and movements
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts & skid loader
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and attention to detail
- Stock shelves and organize materials in designated areas to optimize space utilization
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and inventory reconciliation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA standards
- Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed
- Use mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues when necessary
- Participate in inventory control activities to ensure stock accuracy and availability
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, or similar platforms
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers required
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations
- Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly throughout the shift
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order fulfillment
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and supervisors
- Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not required
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
