Status: Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week)

Salary: From $106,852 per annum + 12% superannuation + tool of trade

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. We are seeking a Supervisor Plant and Fleet Assets to lead our Plant and Fleet Assets team.


Purpose:

This role will be responsible for maintaining Council’s fleet and equipment consistent with schedules in accordance with manufacturers specifications, RMS and safety requirements. You will be supervising, guiding and advising other workshop staff and ensure repairs are undertaken consistent with appropriate procedures, management of external service providers.


About the role:

Some of the things you will do in this role are:

  • Liaise with operators and other supervisors on any issues identified related to operational use of plant and fleet, ensure correct operating techniques are adopted to decrease mechanical failure
  • Prioritise parts orders required to undertake repairs and scheduled services to minimise plant downtime.
  • Manage external suppliers KPI’s for plant & fleet covered under maintenance agreements
  • Prioritise internal and external routine services and or repairs to minimise any downtime on plant or fleet

About you:

  • Successful completion of a Tradesperson’s Certificate of Competency in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade, other relevant qualifications, and/or relevant experience
  • High level of experience using Fleet Management Systems
  • A developed ability to guide and advise workshop staff and operators
