We’re seeking a skilled and passionate Wastewater Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our wastewater treatment and reuse services. This is a pivotal leadership role that ensures operational excellence, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement across our wastewater network.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and reuse sites
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
• Manage operational risks and respond to incidents effectively
• Provide site-based leadership to a team of 2-4 staff
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in wastewater operations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including regulators and contractors
• Support strategic projects such as the Bendigo Groundwater interim solution

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in wastewater treatment and reuse operations
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance principles
• Ability to manage risk and make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Australian working rights

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $131,623 + superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
