At Kimberley Regional Service Providers (KRPS), we don’t just maintain infrastructure, we help improve the quality of life for people living across some of Australia’s most remote communities.


Our Water Quality Team plays a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable drinking water across the Kimberley, and we’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Water Sampler to join our small, highly skilled team.

  • Live and work in beautiful Broome

  • Travel throughout the Kimberley visiting remote communities

About the role

Reporting to the Water Quality Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for collecting water samples from potable water, wastewater and raw water systems across remote Kimberley communities.


You’ll prepare samples for laboratory testing, maintain accurate records, and assist with maintaining safe drinking water systems in accordance with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.


This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys field work, values attention to detail, and thrives working both independently and as part of a small team.


What you’ll be doing

  • Collect potable water, wastewater and raw water samples
  • Prepare sample bottles, labels and documentation
  • Prepare samples for transport to accredited laboratories
  • Record sampling data accurately
  • Assist with re-sampling and remediation activities where required
  • Operate safely while travelling throughout remote communities
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of water quality across the Kimberley
  • Assist in water treatment infrastructure asset repair and maintenance


About you

You’ll bring:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to safety
  • A current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Unlimited Australian Work Rights


Highly regarded

Experience isn’t essential, but we would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Water sampling experience
  • Field testing experience
  • Water Corporation training in:
    • Introduction to Drinking Water Quality
    • Drinking Water Sampling
    • Field Instruments
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Chlorine Awareness Training
  • Experience travelling on remote unsealed roads
  • Some trade background / experience
  • Any water industry experience
