Description
Help build the Climate Council’s digital presence. Manage our WordPress site, create SEO-friendly copy, and amplify our voice across social media to drive climate action. Join our team!
- Permanent full time role
- Melbourne/ Sydney Based
- Hybrid working environment
The Web and Content Producer sits within our Digital team and is central to how the Climate Council shows up online. You’ll manage and maintain our website in WordPress, write and edit web copy that’s crisp and SEO-friendly, and keep a close eye on performance data so we’re always improving. You’ll also repurpose that content for social media, support paid campaigns, and be the digital voice in the room, when working alongside other colleagues in a working group, to maximise the impact of our projects.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the craft of writing digital copy as much as the strategy behind it, and who wants their work to genuinely matter.
You will have:
- Digital communications and CMS expertise: Over 3 years of experience in web writing and digital communications, including proficiency with WordPress and website analytics.
- Content creation for social platforms: Proven ability to adapt tone and format for diverse audiences across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Proficiency with design and AI tools: Hands-on experience with design software like Canva or Adobe, integrated with the smart use of AI for efficient drafting and SEO optimisation.
- Project management skills: Highly organised with the capacity to juggle multiple projects and pivot quickly in a reactive, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for climate, campaigning and digital culture: A deep, active interest in social change and staying ahead of the curve in news cycles and online trends.
What we offer our employees:
- Supportive and healthy work/life balance through hybrid options and flexible hours.
- Enjoy 5 additional paid days off each year to focus on your wellbeing
- Yearly flu vaccinations to help you stay well.
- A passionate, friendly, and knowledgeable team where every voice is heard and valued.
- A strong annual base salary plus superannuation, and recognition payments
- A culture of celebrating people’s achievements, both professionally and personally
- Opportunities for professional development
About Climate Council:
Climate Council is Australia’s own independent, evidence-based organisation on climate science, impacts and solutions. Powered by our incredible community, we advocate for solutions that rapidly drive down emissions, and shape the national conversation about the consequences of inaction.
Our vision – We can materially contribute to the global climate challenge and unlock social and economic benefits for Australians if we cut climate pollution far and fast enough this decade. This represents a transformation in action and attitude from all levels of government, industry, business and community. But we know it’s worth it to protect Australian lives and our natural environment, and to create a safer future for our kids.
Our mission – To be a courageous catalyst propelling Australia towards bold, effective action to have emissions plummet during the 2020s and hit net zero by 2035.
Our values:
- We are brave and bold
- We are hopeful and solutions focused
- We act with integrity and communicate honestly
