Introduction:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Wedding & Event Coordinator to join our team. As a Wedding and Event Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in creating unforgettable experiences for our clients and ensuring the smooth execution of weddings and events. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for their wedding or event.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of weddings and events, from initial planning to final execution.
- Assist clients in selecting suitable venues, vendors, and event services.
- Coordinate with vendors, such as florists, caterers, photographers, and musicians, to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery of services.
- Create detailed event timelines and production schedules to ensure all activities are executed smoothly.
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring that all elements are arranged according to the client's specifications.
- Manage event budgets and financial transactions, including contract negotiations and payment tracking.
- Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the planning process, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the venue staff, ensuring all logistical requirements are met.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction during events.
- Handle any unexpected challenges or troubleshooting during events.
- Proven experience as a Wedding and Event Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
- Knowledge of wedding and event planning processes, including vendor management, budgeting, and logistics.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- A positive attitude, creativity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Current RSA and own transport.
