Welder

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling and fabricating components to meet our high-quality standards. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise in welding techniques will contribute significantly to our production processes.

Duties

• Weld and fabricate components using stick welding techniques and other methods as required.
• Assemble parts and structures according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
• Perform quality checks on welded joints to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the welding process, applying basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in welding, particularly with stick welding and sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools relevant to the welding trade.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £300.00 per day

Experience:

• MIG welding: 2 years (preferred)
• Fabrication: 2 years (preferred)
