Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator specializing in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for precision welding and fabricating metal components, ensuring all work meets strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable, high-quality metal structures and assemblies used across various construction and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce components.
- Perform TIG welding on diverse metal materials, including sheet metal and structural steel, adhering to AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication processes.
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments like gauges and calipers to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously on construction sites or within the fabrication shop environment to maintain a safe working atmosphere.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or welding within a construction site or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in TIG welding along with other welding techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding.
- Familiarity with interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints for fabrication tasks.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, machining, plasma cutting, and handling metal materials.
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment confidently.
- Basic math skills necessary for shop math calculations related to fabrication specifications.
- Construction site experience is a plus, especially involving crane operations or working around heavy machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately is essential for success in this role.

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
