Description:
About the Role:
Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, you will join a strong team of professionals as we champion excellence across SwanCare. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving our WHS&E strategy and framework, ensuring our people are safe every day. You will partner with leaders across the business to embed safe systems of work, strengthen environmental stewardship and foster a proactive, engaged safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of WHS&E strategies, policies and management systems.
  • Provide expert guidance on legislative compliance, hazard and risk management and incident prevention.
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, reporting, data insights and root-cause analysis.
  • Oversee incident investigations and correct action processes.
  • Champion environmental sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams, influencing safe behaviours through collaboration, training and coaching.

Skills and Experiences:
Key Role Requirements:
You are a subject matter expert in all things relating to workplace safety, health and environment. You are a confident communicator, a natural collaborator and a trusted advisor. Other role requirements include:

  • Qualifications in WHS&E Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior WHS or WHS&E leadership role.
  • Strong pragmatic knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cultural change and influence at all levels.
  • Experience with risk management frameworks and safety management systems.
  • Proactive mindset, analytical capability and a genuine passion for protecting people and the environment.
  • Working rights within Australia
  • National Police Clearance
