Wind Technician - Tornio

Join our dynamic team as a Service Technician at Siemens Gamesa in the beautiful Tornio hub of northern Finland! Imagine being at the forefront of renewable energy, where you will perform essential technical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our customers’ wind turbines. You will engage in troubleshooting, conduct annual maintenance, and carry out various inspections, all while working on a variety of wind power platforms. Your role is vital in delivering high-quality service and operational reliability, contributing to a greener future for our planet.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will carry out improvement measures and modifications, participating in preparations as needed.
• Solve on-site problems collaboratively with your colleagues and support teams, utilizing your electrical and mechanical skills.
• Ensure that all work is performed with safety as the highest priority, adhering to electrical standards (SFS-6002).
• Document and report your work with attention to detail and quality.
• Monitor, coordinate, and follow up on assignments performed by subcontractors to ensure seamless operations.

What You Bring

• A high school education with a technical focus, including required electrical training; education in hydraulics or mechanics is a plus.
• Previous experience in wind power, electricity, mechanics, or hydraulics is advantageous.
• A valid driving license to perform your duties effectively.
• Proficiency in Finnish and English to communicate freely with team members and clients.
• A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a strong sense of service and a genuine interest in technical problem-solving.
• Readiness to travel and also to support on other sites, if required
• Willingness to support also in on-call services on some weekends during the year is seen as an advantage
