Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
You will apply AI tools, generative models, and automation frameworks to streamline workflows, enhance data management, and accelerate model development. Your work will involve data engineering, simulation modelling, UI creation, and reporting – all powered by AI capabilities.

• AI-Driven Design: Use AI/ML tools and generative models to design, implement, and optimize data workflows and analytical models
• Automation and Efficiency: Automate conversion of calculation logic from spreadsheets into dynamic, reusable templates using scripting or AI automation frameworks
• Database Management: Build and maintain databases (MySQL or next‑generation equivalents) with AI‑assisted schema design, optimization, and data quality checks
• Predictive Modeling: Develop simulation models (including Monte Carlo and other predictive techniques) using AI and ML-driven approaches for scenario analysis
• Interface Development: Design and deploy intuitive, functional interfaces (web or desktop) with AI‑assisted UI/UX generation tools
• Reporting and Visualization: Build automated reporting pipelines and real‑time dashboards to support decision‑making
• Rapid Prototyping: Collaborate with stakeholders to quickly translate requirements into functional tools and models using AI‑powered prototyping

Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
We are seeking a forward‑thinking student with strong skills in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and process automation to help us rapidly design, build, and optimize our internal technical systems.

• Study field: Studies in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, or similar
• Experience: In implementation of AI solutions for automating workflows, UI generation, and report creation; as a plus experience using low‑code/no‑code AI automation platforms (2026 versions of KNIME, Power Automate, AutoML tools)
• Skills:
  • Strong proficiency with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT‑5, Gemini Ultra, Claude Next, or newer) and prompt engineering
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript) with ability to integrate AI APIs and automation libraries
  • Skills in data visualization and interactive dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or AI‑enhanced equivalents) as a plus
• Interests: Familiarity with database design and management (MySQL or equivalent)
• Knowledge: Of simulation modelling techniques, especially Monte Carlo and ML‑based predictive simulations; Understanding of cloud‑based AI solutions and deployment workflows (AWS AI, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI) as a plus
• Language skills: Excellent English skills, both written and spoken

Important information:

• Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
• Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
• You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
