Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Focus on the future: Integrate external numerical linear solvers into the existing in-house analog circuit simulator
- Reliable work: Run comparative benchmarks of various linear solvers on representative test cases, varying solver/preconditioner settings
- Identify needs: Perform strong and weak scaling studies and summarize performance/robustness results
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Study Field: Currently enrolled as a Master's student in Numerical Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Science or similar courses

Skills:
o Familiarity with basic HPC, scientific computing and/or numerical linear algebra
o Familiarity with working in a Linux environment
o C/C++ programming skills - Experience: First experiences with numerical libraries such as Petsc, Lapack, Trilinos or similar
- Language skills: Good English skills both written and spoken, German is a plus

Important information:
- Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
