Position Summary: Avenir Energy is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Yard Services Attendant to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide excellent service to our customers while maintaining and organizing the yard and warehouse areas. This is a hands-on role with a variety of responsibilities, perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of customer interaction and physical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Propane Handling: Fill propane cylinders and prepare tanks for customers with safety and precision.
• Inventory Management: Receive and organize deliveries; conduct monthly and weekly yard counts to maintain accurate inventory.
• Yard & Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, outbuildings, and yard. Tasks include cutting grass, shoveling snow, and maintaining overall site aesthetics.
• Customer Support: Provide outstanding service to customers, ensuring a positive experience every time.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and participate in required training programs, including PTI 100-1 Propane Pump Attendant Certification, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid, and Forklift training.
• Team Collaboration: Attend monthly staff meetings and take on other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
• Teamwork: Works well in a team environment and independently.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with propane cylinders and fittings is an asset (training will be provided).
• Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required
