Hours: 23 hours - 25.5 hours per week. 3 days a week, days to be agreed. Overtime available.

Main Purpose of Job:

General housekeeping duties, keeping the yard and main workshops clean, organized, and free of debris.

Washing and valeting machinery to a high standard on delivery into the yard and on customer collection.

Ensure that the yard is always clean and free from any H&S concerns.

Control and dispose of waste produce generated i.e., pallets, oil, steel, batteries and contaminated rags.

Ensure the smooth operation of logistics and supports the company's engineering teams by maintaining a well-functioning and organized workspace. This role is essential for minimizing delays and ensuring that projects proceed efficiently.

Employee shall work in accordance with Company guidelines adhering to and fulfilling the requirements of all network rail standards and complying with Health, Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 years experience in yardman role

Desirable Qualifications:

• NVQ2 in Construction Operations/ Plant Operations
• Forklift truck driving

Principle Duties:

• Carry out general house-keeping duties in and around the Company’s premises
• Carry out basic in-house maintenance as necessary
• Conduct and complete duties to a high standard and always maintain a professional approach to customers
• Observe and comply with correct Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and all Network Rail standards always

• Space Optimization: Efficiently organizing the yard to maximize space
• Safety Awareness: Following and enforcing safety protocols to prevent accidents
• Regulation Knowledge: Understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
