Job Summary
The Las Vegas Ice Center, a two-sheet multipurpose ice rink is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician, Zamboni Driver, and Ice Surface Maintenance Specialist. This role involves a combination of general maintenance tasks, operating a Zamboni ice resurfacing machine, and maintaining the overall quality of the ice surface.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Technician:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs

Zamboni Driver:

• Operate the Zamboni machine to resurface the ice rink
• Ensure the ice surface is smooth, level, and free of debris
• Perform routine maintenance on the Zamboni machine
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures

Ice Surface Maintenance:

• Monitor and adjust ice temperature and humidity levels
• Perform ice surface preparations
• Address ice imperfections and irregularities
• Collaborate with ice rink staff to maintain optimal ice conditions
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with outdoor maintenance

Requirements

• Previous experience in maintenance or facility operations preferred
• Previous Zamboni driving and ice maintenance experience NOT required, we will train the right candidate in these areas.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to operate heavy machinery
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to works evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
