The Laboratory Administrative Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to all wet-lab operations operating under the banner of ZERO. You will be a key contact for internal and external communications with all participating sites and vendors , as well as perform functions such as stock taking and ordering, sample tracking and follow-up, scheduling, data entry and report generation and submission, and facilitating data/sample access requests.
As our ZERO Laboratory Administrative Officer your purpose will be to:
- Provide critical support in the delivery of timely, and accurate result of complex technical workflows at a rigour expected of clinically relevant data.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment and resolving technical issues, in order to maintain rapid sample processing timelines according to agreed metrics.
- Track and meticulously record all aspects of laboratory operations whilst ensuring patient confidentiality
- Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory protocols, standard operating procedures and technical guidelines.
- Facilitate and support data sharing efforts in collating and transferring the data, including addressing any applicant queries and providing administrative support to the ZERO Data Access Committee.
- Monitor and respond to relevant Program mailboxes including triaging and escalating issues as they arise.
To succeed you will have…
- Demonstrated high level of organisational skills and previous experience in an administrative function.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple priorities, while adhering to deadlines (laboratory/ medical experience preferred but not essential).
- Ability to efficiently prioritise workloads, show initiative, problem solve and work effectively without direct supervision, and ability to rapidly learn systems and processes in a complex laboratory environment.
- Strong computer literacy, and proficiency using in Microsoft office suite of applications and laboratory information systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders in both written and verbal forms.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt with agility and efficiency, and apply learnings in a dynamic environment.
