- Permanent, fulltime (37.5 hours per week)
- Based at Windermere Campus, Tauranga
The position of Academic Developer is based within the Academic Development & Quality Team.
As an Academic Developer you will contribute to excellent teaching and learning through leading the development of high quality, fit-for-purpose programmes of study.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $75,000 up to $84,000, dependent on skills and experience.
Key responsibilities for this role are:
- Driving an innovative approach to programme design and development, with a focus on equity and inclusion
- Facilitating the programme development and maintenance processes to ensure quality programmes are created and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders
- Developing and sustaining effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Maintaining currency in effective programme development practices and delivery
- Applying Mātauranga Māori approached to programme development to increase participation and improve outcomes for ākonga Māori
He kōrero mōu| About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of four years’ experience working in the tertiary education field
- Sound experience in developing and maintaining programmes of study (including credentials) within the New Zealand vocational tertiary environment and across all levels of the NZQF
- Demonstrated use of innovative approaches to ensure 21st century educational practices are core to programme development
- Support and advocate the use of te reo, tikanga and Mātauranga Māori in your mahi and in the workplace
- The ability to remain calm under pressure, and be able to prioritise and deliver on tight timeframes
- Importantly you will be able to demonstrate strong alignment and commitment to our Toi Ohomai values
