Reporting structure:
This position reports to the Head of Operations EU.
Job Overview:
As an Accommodation Manager, you will support the smooth running of Lumis Living’s student accommodation in Graz. You will work closely with the Head of Operations EU to ensure the well-being of residents, maintain high standards of service, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility. The role demands excellent customer service skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic, student-focused environment.
About the role
- Ensure a smooth operation of the student accommodation
- Provide optimal care of our guests, students, and visitors
- Process direct enquiries and rental interests via various channels
- Manage the utilization/occupancy of the student rooms
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct thorough room inspections
- Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors as necessary
- Administer and manage the staff at the respective location on a day-to-day basis
- Control the budget of all inquiries and supplies
- Organize the office, including all administrative preparatory and follow-up activities
- Maintain accurate records of all activities related to the student accommodation and provide reporting and analysis as requested by the management team
Profile:
- Economic degree with A-Level (HAK, HBLA or HAS etc.) or specialised training as Accommodation Manager (Heimleiter*in-Ausbildung)
- Several years of professional experience in hospitality sector (student housing beneficial)
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service abilities
- Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills as well as leadership and motivation skills
- Good German & English skills
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Having a hands-on approach and high degree of service orientation
- Capable of multitasking and managing evolving priorities.
