Rail Transportation Company located West of Leduc, Alberta (Calmar) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and detail oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Accounting/Office Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable/Payables
  • Payroll
  • Reconciling bank statements; CRA remittances
  • General Administrative Assistant Duties
  • Data entry

Key Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient and accurate computing and data entry skills, with an emphasis on Simply Accounting and MS Office
  • Prioritizing, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
  • Proven team player, as well as, ability to work individually with little supervision
  • Own method of transportation as this location is not accessible by public transit
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing / physical demands analysis

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 - 3 years accounting experience
  • Simply Accounting
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficient in generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
