About the Position

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will support the accurate and timely processing of incoming invoices and payments. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure proper documentation and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to develop in the field of accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, record, and allocate incoming invoices
  • Support national and international payment processing
  • Monitor open items and assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal departments
  • Maintain and update vendor master data
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
  • Support audits and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with legal and internal accounting guidelines

Your Profile

  • Completed commercial training or a comparable qualification
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable (entry-level candidates welcome)
  • Basic knowledge of German VAT regulations is a plus
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, DATEV, ERP systems) is beneficial
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Accurate, reliable, and independent working style
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Bilingual Speaker both German & English
