Position Overview: The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of the accounts receivable function. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, payments, and collections, while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Cycle Accounts Receivables - Manage all aspects of accounts receivable.
- Invoice Processing - Generate and send out customer invoices.
- Payment Management
- Process Payments and Remittances: Manage credit card payments, remittances, and complete cash applications. Ensuring invoices are paid promptly.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Credit Application Processing - Handle the processing of credit applications.
- Collections
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Conduct collection calls and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications and transactions.
- Customer Service
- Handle customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Resolve any billing discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ad-Hoc Duties - Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proficiency in ERP accounting software.
- Possess collection and negotiation skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the automotive parts retail industry is an asset.
- Post-secondary education with an accounting certificate or diploma is desirable and considered an asset.
Training and Compensation:
- Training will be provided.
- Compensation commensurate with experience.
- Wage - $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in Calgary.
- Standard office hours with occasional overtime as required.
- Collaborative work environment.
