Description:
Key Responsibilities and Functions
To provide general administrative support and reception duties to the Town Planning unit.
To assist in the preparation and processing of Planning documents.
To maintain records and provide timely production of reports for Council.
To provide customer point of contact for Planning including Planning inquiries.
Receive, assess and initiate action on inquiries and requests.
Assist in the management and maintenance of databases.
Research basic issues and prepare routine reports.
Respond to routine correspondence on behalf of the Coordinator and undertake follow-up action on outstanding correspondence or reports.
Provide property information for planning certificates including undertaking property searches, zoning and flood information etc.
Follow up action officer lists.
Process Survey questionnaires.

Skills and Experiences:

Key Selection criteria
Essential qualifications and experience
Cert ii or higher in Business Administration;
Prior experience in an administration/clerical/reception oriented role.
Desirable qualifications and experience
Prior experience in the Town Planning or Building/Construction industry;
Prior experience in Local Government.
Licenses and mandatory requirements
Satisfactory National Police check
