Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring all students feel respected and valued.
  • Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Provide support for students with special educational needs, tailoring approaches to meet individual requirements.
  • Organize recreational activities including sports, arts, and crafts that promote physical health and creativity.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills to create a structured learning environment.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
  • First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all students.
  • Experience in tutoring or providing individualized support to enhance student learning outcomes is a plus.
  • Background in special education or Christian counseling can be beneficial for addressing diverse student needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
