Job Description Summary

The Compliance Manager APAC will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s Ethics & Compliance team in the APAC region. The role is responsible for providing our business with strategic guidance and having oversight in matters related to compliance with local laws and regulations, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and business ethics. This position will require strong leadership in fostering a culture of ethical behavior, risk management, and adherence to both local and international regulatory requirements.

About the Role:

  • Support the Regional Compliance Director in the development and implementation of the Global Compliance Program across APAC, ensuring alignment with global standards and local legal requirements
  • Serve as the key Ethics & Compliance contact for certain APAC countries, acting as trusted adviser to business leaders in the region on compliance matters, including working with government officials, use of third parties, due diligence issues etc
  • Implement risk-based due diligence processes across APAC, working with business leaders to ensure full understanding and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of compliance policies within business operations
  • Collaborate on awareness campaigns to highlight the importance of ethical behavior and adherence to compliance policies

About You:

  • 7-10 years of experience in an Ethics & Compliance role, with a focus on APAC markets
  • Deep understanding of compliance requirements across APAC jurisdictions, including anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, third party risk management and other relevant compliance regulations
  • Fluency in English is required; additional APAC regional language is a plus
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from a recognized institution.
  • Experience working in a US-based multinational corporation.
