The Artistic Director will lead the vision of the organization, coordinate programming, and take a proactive role in grant writing and fundraising with administrative and financial support from the Arts Administrator, Treasurer, and Board. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative leader who brings both artistic insight and organizational know-how and who is passionate about building community through storytelling.

  • Oversee programming and events in collaboration with staff, artists, and community partners
  • Contribute to long-term planning and help shape the organization’s future direction in consultation with the Board

Grant Writing and Fund Development

  • Lead the preparation and submission of grants and reports (with administrative support)
  • Research new funding opportunities and maintain relationships with funders
  • Ensure CADAC and other reporting requirements are met with support from the Arts Administrator

Programming and Production

  • Provide artistic direction and mentorship for the annual Toronto International Storytelling Festival
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate ongoing storytelling events and workshops

  • Manage contracts and budgets specific to events
