Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Assistant General Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure exceptional service delivery across all operational areas. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of the restaurant or food service establishment, driving team performance, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests. Your leadership will be instrumental in streamlining daily operations, managing staff, and upholding our commitment to outstanding customer experiences. Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate staff members across all departments including kitchen, front-of-house, bar, and catering teams.
  • Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance skills in food preparation, customer service, POS systems , and food safety protocols.
  • Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure proper staffing levels to meet business demands.
  • Oversee food production processes including cooking, food handling, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and oversee POS transactions to ensure accuracy and security.
  • Control inventory levels for food supplies, beverages, and other operational materials to minimize waste while meeting quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation practices across all areas of operation.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Support budgeting efforts by monitoring expenses related to food costs, labor costs, and operational supplies.
  • Assist in planning special events such as banquets or catering services to expand revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct staff interviews, participate in hiring decisions, and contribute to ongoing training & development programs.
  • Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong background in culinary operations including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a hospitality environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising diverse teams in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining settings.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations; experience with HACCP is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure during busy shifts.
  • Experience with staff training & development programs; strong interviewing skills for hiring new team members.
  • Hospitality industry knowledge including fine dining or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Culinary experience including catering or banquet services is preferred. Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
