Assistant Forecourt Convenience Manager role is a high-paced, hands-on supervisory position. The role focuses on supporting the General Manager to drive sales, manage operations, and deliver excellent customer service.

Job PurposeTo assist in the daily operations of the store and forecourt, ensuring high standards of customer service, merchandising, food safety, and compliance with company procedures.

• Operational Management:Support the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening/closing the store, managing stock, ordering, deliveries, and maintaining high merchandising standards.
• Customer Service & Sales:Deliver high standards of customer service, handle queries, resolve complaints promptly, and drive sales through effective merchandising.
• Team Leadership:Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service, assisting with rota planning and team performance management.
• Forecourt & Safety:Ensure the forecourt is clean, safe, and operational (fuel pumps). Maintain full food safety (HACCP), and Health & Safety compliance.
• Cash & Inventory Control:Manage cash transactions, balance tills, perform stock checks, and investigate variances. Excel Recruitment +8

Key Requirements

• Experience:1–2 years in a similar supervisory or management role, preferably in a fast-paced convenience, supermarket, or forecourt retail environment.
• Skills:Strong people-management and communication skills, ability to lead by example, and a hands-on approach.
• Flexibility:Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
• IT Literacy:Competence in using retail IT systems to monitor sales, KPIs, and stock levels. Excel Recruitment +5
