HCBS Assistant Manager is responsible to assist the coordinator with oversight of day-to-day operations of their assigned locations. This includes programming for persons served, assisting with staff scheduling and trainings. The HCBS Assistant Manager will report directly to the HCBS Coordinator.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS of the Assistant Manager
1. Be at least 21 years of age.
2. Available for on-call assistance when emergencies arise at assigned sites.
3. A high school degree (or its equivalent) and one to five years experience
4. Ability to exercise sound judgment and quick decision-making when the situation requires.
5. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
6. Possess "leadership ability" as it relates to supervision and training of staff.
7. Ability to be creative and advocate when giving input to "program of training" for the person served.
8. Maintain a valid Iowa Driver's License with a good driving record, and a private automobile used to carry out job duties. Hold adequate liability insurance (required: $100,000/$300,000/$50,000).
9. Be available for on-call assistance when emergencies arise at assigned sites.
10. Complete Medication Managers course and attend all mandatory training required of this position.
11. Be proficient in computer skills.
