The Audio Video Technician works out of the Collingwood office and travels throughout Grey County, Simcoe County and Muskoka & Parry Sound to customer locations. The Audio Video Technician works with the Audio Video team as well as the Alarm Security team.

· Installation of audio video wiring and related infrastructure and hardware.

· Installation of audio video equipment including home theater systems, AV

distribution systems, system networks.

· Program remotes, keypads, control systems and viewer interfaces to control equipment.

· Provide on-site job coordination, as required, and ensure that all related equipment is on the job site as required.

· Educate customers how to use and operate the systems.

· Coordinate with client or builder on final setup, layout and functionality of AV systems.

· Coordinate the proper placement and installation of equipment.

· Trouble shoot and service-related AV issues as required.

· Manage jobs as assigned by the Scheduler.

· Maintain communication with sales staff, Senior AV Tech and the Scheduler with regards to the progress and status of the job.

· Work as an Alarm Technician when needed, helping on larger job or to fill in schedule (training will be provided).

· Any other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma. Related post-secondary education.
  • 3 to 5 years in a similar type of position.
  • Previous experience installing alarm security/access control systems and security cameras is an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willing to be trained.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, Team player.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Clean Criminal Record Check.
  • Valid drivers license with clean abstract.
