Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and bodywork, with the ability to perform repairs efficiently and to high standards. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring safety and aesthetic appeal.
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels, frames, and other body components using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
- Assess vehicle damage accurately and determine the necessary repairs
- Perform dent removal, sanding, grinding, and painting preparation tasks
- Use dealership manuals and repair guides to ensure proper procedures are followed
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity
- Follow all safety protocols related to automotive repair and heavy lifting
Experience
- Prior experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Experience with automotive bodywork, dent removal, and painting is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during repairs
- Previous mechanic or automotive repair experience is desirable
- Familiarity with automotive repair manuals and diagnostic tools is beneficial
This position requires a dedicated professional with a passion for automotive craftsmanship. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hamilton, ON L8E 4Y5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Auto Body Technician : 3 years (required)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (preferred)
